Bury Your Gays: An Anthology of Tragic Queer Horror (editor)
Sofia Ajram is a Bram Stoker Award-winning metalsmith, writer and editor of queer and speculative stories. Their debut novella, Coup de Grâce, won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction, was named a Best Book of 2024 by Barnes & Noble and Esquire, and was shortlisted for the Shirley Jackson Awards and Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer prize.
They are the Canadian Arts and Fashion Award–winning designer, founder and metalsmith of Sofia Zakia jewelry as well as the editor of Bury Your Gays: An Anthology of Tragic Queer Horror. Sofia has given lectures on contemporary horror films at Monstrum Montreal and has had their work published in Nightmare Magazine. He lives in Montreal with his cat Isa.

Lor Gislason (they/he) is a writer and editor from Van Isle known for their love of all things goopy. As a editor they’ve worked on Bound In Flesh: An Anthology of trans body horror, Spectrum, Little Guts and several others as slush or first readers. On the flipside, articles by Lor have been published by Agita, Lost in Cult and many others. Their second novella, Cosmic Dyke Patrol, released in February from Ghoulish. JESS HAGEMANN
Jess Hagemann’s debut novel HEADCHEESE won a 2019 IPPY Award in Horror. Her sophomore novel MOTHER-EATING was named a “Most-Anticipated Horror Book of 2025” by PASTE MAGAZINE and made BLOODY DISGUSTING’s list of Best Horror Books of 2025. That same year, Rapture Publishing issued a standalone chapbook of her short story “Resurrection.” In 2026, she wrote the officially licensed novelization of the movie BURNING PALMS for Encyclopocalypse Publications. Jess received her MFA from the Jack Kerouac School, and is the former recipient of a teaching fellowship at McNeese State University and a writing residency at Dear Butte. She lives in Austin. Warren Wagner is a queer American filmmaker and author living in Canada. His work draws heavily from personal history and lived experience, often centering queer characters within bold genre storytelling. Wagner co-wrote the feature adaptation of the bestselling YA horror novel HELL FOLLOWED WITH US by Andrew Joseph White with screenwriter Alvaro Rodriguez. The film is being produced by Lilly Wachowski’s Anarchists United, Trustbridge Entertainment, and Powerhouse Animation Studios. In September 2025, Wagner was named to the Blumhouse Screamwriting Fellowship cohort for underrepresented voices in horror. Most recently, he was included as one of Austin Film Festival’s 25 Screenwriters To Watch in 2026.
