I submitted a short story and haven’t gotten a response yet. Why are you being such an asshole?

We have a very limited staff, and slush is mostly read by only two people, so sometimes we fall behind on submissions. Please be patient with us. Also, we never require simultaneous submission restrictions, so please feel free to submit your story to other markets in the meantime.
