Last month we announced an unhinged contest on social media: acquire an egg, draw a decapitated head on the egg, and either quote, share & tag us, or reply to the post with a pic of your egg-capitation. Our five favorite entries would win a signed copy of Jess Hagemann’s Mother-Eating, which is a modern retelling of Marie Antoinette’s reign in France set in Austin, TX. We honestly did not expect so many people to express such enthusiasm about decapitating eggs. In retrospect, we were fools. Of course you freaks would love doing something like this. After a series of heated debates between myself and Mindy, we’ve finally settled on our top five favorite entries. If you’re not included here, do not be sad! You also did a good job.
